1936 Snow photos

Seems like an appropriate day to dip into the archives for some snow photos of years gone by.

This first photo was taken on March 18, 1936 and appears to show Birch Cliff residents shovelling Kingston Road, west of Haig Avenue, in order to allow the Scarborough radial car to pass through the community.

Aren’t you glad that once you’re finished the driveway today you don’t have to head out to help out the TTC?

This second photo was presumably taken on the same day and shows Birch Cliff Public School in the background.
