Flooded home on Kalmar Avenue with the familiar dumpster out front
The Scarborough Mirror has done a good story on the anger directed at the City of Toronto by flooding victims in southwest Scarborough.
It features Melanie Slater, who used to live in Birch Cliff and is a former chair of the Home and School at Birch Cliff Public School.
I ran into her at the Ward 35 public meeting last week, and like the article says, she lost everything but her photo albums (and I think her son saved some electronics.)
