Birch Cliff 100th reunion details

Birch Cliff PS Anniversary Banner

The banner is up and so is the website as plans steam ahead for the celebration of Birch Cliff Public School’s 100th anniversary in September.

The first big centennial event is a 100th anniversary musical called “As Time Goes By” being staged this Thurs. June 16 at 7pm at Birchmount Collegiate, at 3663 Danforth Avenue.

“As Time Goes By” is a trip through time from 1916 to 2016.

Birch Cliff students dressed in period costumes will be singing a medley of songs popular throughout the decades, ranging from to “Hail, Hail the Gang’s All Here”  to “California Dreamin’ ” to the recent hit “Cheerleader” by OMI.

A cast of 16 students who were coached by a professional actor will weave the music together by telling a story about each decade between songs.

“As Time Goes By” is sure to be a smash, with script and musical arrangements written by music teacher Ms. Amy Ribble and musical accompaniment and arrangement by Marco Girgenti.

Tickets are still available and can be obtained at the school or at the door on a first come, first served basis

Help…please!! Have tried to register for Saturday’s Alumni Dinner but when I go to register it tells me that the site is no longer available. I thought maybe all the tickets had been sold but was told there are still plenty left. Could you tell me if there is another site where I can order one ticket. Thanks.

      Hi Teresa,
I just tried to log on via my laptop and the site seems to be fine, so I’m thinking it may be a local issue to your computer. I have forwarded your email address to the person in charge of the website and I’m sure he’ll get back to you shortly.

Thanks for everyone’s help. Have spoken with Alison and Liz and am sure all will be fine. I know that where I am in Wasaga Beach reception can be an issue at times.
