Birch Cliff band seeks singer

Greystone

Greystone

By Ian Harvey

Looking for your moment in the spotlight?

Greystone is a Funkin’ R&B band based in Birch Cliff and we’re looking for a new singer.

We need someone with knock-it-out-of-the park vocals and a great up-front-keep-the-house-riveted presence.

Male or Female. All that matter is your voice, your stage sense and your commitment to the band.

We’ve been playing bars and private events around the GTA for the last 18 months and our current singer has to move on.

C’est la music biz. But the rest of the band wants to continue because we’ve got a good thing going with great chemistry and a good sound.

We play R&B, Blues, some Funk, some Pop, new and old.

Greystone is drums, bass, two great guitars who swap leads and chords and a harp player. And you

There are two Birch Cliffers in the band: Ian Harvey and Sam McClay, both have lived here for decades. Our harp player lives over by Kingston Road and St. Clair.

If you play an instrument it’s a bonus.

We have a rehearsal studio in Birch Cliff  where we practice once a week. Don’t worry about gear: We’ve got it all: a full backline, PA with monitors, wireless mike system and more.

All you have to do is come on out and sing. Here’s a link to our Facebook page.

We’re auditioning candidates over the next couple of weeks. Pick five or so songs or more from our play lists and come on out.

Here’s our current play list, though we’re probably going to dump a few of these and we’re also in the process of adding new tunes

As the new singer you’d be part of picking new materials too.

We’re a democracy where everyone has a voice.

And usually it’s the singer who has the hammer on tunes

Just reply to the Craigslist ad and we’ll book a slot for you.
