Recycle responsibly May 23rd

Do you have unused or unwanted household items you would like to get rid of in a responsible way?

Today’s your chance!

Ward 36 Councillor Gary Crawford is hosting his annual Environment Day from 4pm – 8pm today at Birchmount Community Centre, 93 Birchmount Road, just north of Kingston Road.

You can drop off the following things for recycling or proper disposal:

  • computer equipment, including desktops, monitors, printers
  • electronics such as small TVs and radios, VCRs, DVD players etc.
  • cell phones
  • hazardous waste, including paint cans, batteries, mercury thermometers, propane tanks etc.

You can also replace a broken green bin and pick up free compost.
