A man in his 60s is dead following an overnight stabbing in Birch Cliff on Kingston Road, just west of Birchmount.
Photographs of the scene posted to Twitter by Global TV’s Jeremy Cohn and CBC’s Tony Smyth show police and paramedics responding to the scene in the alley between Royal Young Market and the Peter E. Maxwell insurance office.
CP24 quotes Toronto Police saying the victim suffered multiple stab wounds at approximately 3:30am
According to CP24, police have a man in custody in connection with the incident and “alcohol is believed to be a factor”.
